Measure of a Man

After a long rest yesterday, I felt better and we decided to go to my host family's house for dinner. I am so glad we did. There were nearly 10 people at the house and we all sat around and made dumplings (must have made 100 at least) and Shawn was a pro! In fact, everybody wanted to know how tall he was. We told them 6'4 feet but they didn't feet so they took out a metric tape measure and he is 1.85 meters tall. We had a wonderful dinner and enjoyed listening to music played by the father and singing by a talented music teacher who joined us for dinner as well. It was such a nice evening and I was glad Shawn could spend time with the family I had grown to love so much over the past month. At the end of the evening, my host mother presented me with 3 beautiful traditional tea pots as well as several nice teas that I look forward to using when I get home. A lovely ending to a rough beginning of a day.
